Abstract:
The collected data of the For Hire Telephone Surveys will be used to compute the for-hire marine recreational fishing participation catch and effort estimates in a bi-monthly and annual basis. The effort and catch estimates are used in the development, implementation, and monitoring of fishery management programs by the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), regional fishery management councils, interstate marine fisheries commissions, and state fishery agencies. The collected data will be presented in an aggregated form and will exclude any Personal Identifiable Information (PII) from the respondents
