Abstract:
The information submitted by tribes allows them to participate in planning the development of transportation needs in their area; the information provides data for administration, documenting plans, and for oversight of the program by the Department. This revision incorporates changes made to the program as a result of revised regulations.

Short Statement:
Program changes resulted in the deletion of two information collection requirements: • Requirement for tribes to submit certain information for BIA to determine whether a tribe's project is eligible for the Indian Reservation Roads High Priority Project, because this project is deleted under the new MAP-21 law (§170.210); and • Provision allowing tribes to challenge the data BIA used in the RNDF because Section 1119 of MAP-21 created a new formula for distribution of TTP funds among tribes, which had the effect of overriding the existing Relative Need Distribution Formula (RNDF) that was published in 2004 (§170.231).
