Abstract:
As part of its intelligence-driven, risk-based approach to security, TSA is implementing an application/enrollment program to participate in TSA Pre¿™. TSA will collect personal information from individuals to conduct name- and fingerprint-based security threat assessments on individuals who apply to participate in the program. TSA also will conduct an optional survey to gather information on the applicants' overall customer satisfaction with the service received at the enrollment center.

Short Statement:
TSA intends to expand enrollment providers to increase applications. Consequently, the fees collected by TSA and potentially burden hours may differ depending upon the source of the enrollment. Also, TSA adjusted the burden estimates based on the current program data from 2014. In addition, TSA anticipates enhancing the program to allow for pre and post enrollment updates, such as adding alternate biometrics or documentation. Cost estimates for the enhancements may differ depending on vendor charges to support additional services.
