Abstract:
This form is used by the public when applying for a Federal firearms license as a dealer, importer, or manufacturer. The information requested on the form establishes eligibility for the license. The application is analyzed by ATF personnel to determine the applicant's eligibility to receive the license.

The adjustments to this collection are a reduction in the number of respondents based on FY 2014, and a postal rate increase to $0.49. Although the postal rate increased, the overall cost burden still decreased because of the reduction of respondents.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
