Abstract:
Approval for inclusion of the AC Form 8050-98 Security Agreement into OMB Collection 2120-0042 is needed in that the form may be used by the public (though not required as only method of submission) for having liens/mortgages against aircraft, engines, propellers, and spare parts recorded with the Civil Aviation Registry in accordance with requirements of 14 CFR Part 49. Once examined and it is confirmed that the instrument meets recording requirements, the document is given a recording number and made a permanent part of the aircraft record. The additional document added to Supporting Statement A, "Air Carrier contract Maintenance final Rule" was added in error and is not relevant to this collection, please disregard it.
