Abstract:
Several of the Prices Paid Questionnaire used by NASS will need non-substantive changes made to them for the early 2016 survey. These changes are necessary to reflect changes with the materials that farmers and ranchers are purchasing as necessary items for their operations. The questionnaires that will be updated are the Prices Paid for New Tractors and Farm Machinery M2 (all versions) and the Prices Paid for Fertilizers, Liming and Agricultural Chemicals FP1 ( all versions).

Short Statement:
The total response burden of 31,222 hours is a decrease of 5,991 hours from the current inventory of 37,213 hours. This reduction in respondent burden is due to several program changes. NASS has incorporated price questions onto several other questionnaires that are included in other dockets and was able to eliminate several stand alone price surveys from this docket (potatoes, tobacco, and sheep). NASS has also reduced the frequency of some surveys, also resulting in a reduction in respondent burden.
