Certain National Firearms Act firearms may not be transported interstate or temporarily exported by any person, other than a qualified Federal firearms licensee, without approval from ATF. The regulation requires a written request and this form provides for the regulatory requirements and may be used as a written request

The adjustments associated with this collection are due to the increase in the size of the ‘pool’ that requires permission for transportation. Thus, the number of respondents will increase to over 10,000. The total number of burden hours has increased to 3,300 hours. These adjustments are based on the number of forms estimated to be submitted in FY2016 (estimate).

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
The following is a summary of the topics, regarding the proposed collection of information, that the certification covers:
