Abstract:
The financial and statistical information is essential to NCUA in carrying out its responsibility for supervising federal credit unions. The information also enables NCUA to monitor all federally insured credit unions whose share accounts are insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF).

Short Statement:
Two factors account for the decline in burden hours (28,416): • An adjustment due to a decline in the estimated number of credit unions that will complete the Call Report and Profile each year from 6,550 to 6,021. • A program change to remove of the CUSO identification sections from the Form 5300 and Form 4501A. This information is now reported separately by the CUSO Registry (OMB No. 3133-0149).

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
