Abstract:
The Occupational Employment Statistics (OES) survey is a Federal/State establishment survey of wage and salary workers designed to produce data on current detailed occupational employment and wages for each Metropolitan Statistical Area and Metropolitan Division as well as by detailed industry classification. OES survey data assists in the development of employment and training programs established by the Perkins Vocational Education Act of 1998. Respondents include private establishment, Schools, Hospitals, State and Local Government.

Short Statement:
The annual respondent burden for the OES survey has decreased from 233,676 hours to 148,760 hours due to the incorporation of the result of a prior Response Analysis Survey for the OES which showed a decrease in median response time from 45 minutes to 30 minutes. In addition, the response rate for the OES has decreased from 77% to 73%.
