The provided information is used compile a national pipeline inventory, identify safety problems, and target inspections. As a result of the proposed HL rule, approximately 5 gravity line operators and 23 gathering line operators will be required to submit annual reports to PHMSA. This information collection is being revised to account for the additional burden that will be incurred. Operators currently submitting annual reports will not be otherwise impacted by this revision.
