Abstract:
This information collection request pertains to Gas Transmission operators jurisdictional to 49 CFR part 192 subpart O - Gas Transmission Integrity Management Program. In the proposed Gas Transmission rule, PHMSA is proposing that operators subject to Integrity Management requirements provide PHMSA notice when 180 days is insufficient to conduct an integrity assessment following the discovery of a condition (§ 192.933).

Short Statement:
PHMSA is proposing that operators subject to Integrity Management requirements provide PHMSA notice when 180 days is insufficient to conduct an integrity assessment following the discovery of a condition (§ 192.933). PHMSA estimates that 20% of the 721 operators (721*.2= 144 operators) will file such a notification. PHMSA estimates that each notification will take about 30 minutes. Based on this provision, PHMSA proposes to add 144 responses and 72 hours to this information collection.
