Abstract:
The Rental Assistance Demonstration allows Public Housing and Moderate Rehabilitation (Mod Rehab) properties to convert to long-term Section 8 rental assistance contracts; and Rent Supplement, Rental Assistance Payment and Mod Rehab properties upon contract expiration or termination, to convert tenant protection vouchers (TPVs) to project-based vouchers (PBVs). Participation in the initiative will be voluntary.
Emergency Justfication:
This is an emergency request being made in order to respond to the comments received, subsequently post for a 30 day public comment period and complete the Paperwork reduction Act (PRA) submission process for a three -year renewal. It is critical that we be able to continue to use the existing documents so that the program can continue to operate while we complete the required PRA renewal process.
