Abstract:
Liquefied Natural Gas and other Liquefied Hazardous Gases present a risk to the public when handled at waterfront facilities. These rules should either prevent accidental releases at waterfront facilities or mitigate their results. They are necessary to promote and verify compliance with safety standards.

Short Statement:
The change in burden is an ADJUSTMENT (i.e., increase) due to several factors. First, the increase is due to public comment that recommended increasing certain hour burden estimates per response. Second, the increase is due to a reevaluation by the Coast Guard that resulted in an increase in the estimated annual number of LHG facility waterway suitability assessments. There is no proposed change to the reporting and recordkeeping requirements of this collection. The reporting and recordkeeping requirements, and the methodology for calculating burden, remain unchanged.
