Abstract:
This information collection covers the collection of information from Hazardous Liquid operators. To ensure adequate public protection from exposure to potential hazardous liquid pipeline failures, PHMSA collects information on reportable hazardous liquid pipeline accidents. Additional information is also obtained concerning the characteristics of an operator's pipeline system.

Short Statement:
Changes made to the HL Accident Report resulted in an additional 2 hours of burden being added to the form. This resulted in an 800 hour burden increase for accident reporting. In addition to this change, PHMSA found an error in the currently-approved burden estimate. The burden was recorded at 52,429 when, in fact, it should have been 55,429. PHMSA believes this to have been completely accidental and, in no way, reflects a change in scope of the currently-approved collection as the previous Supporting Statements will support.
