Abstract:
The Natural Gas Data Collection Program Package forms collect basic and detailed natural gas production, processing, transmission, storage, consumption and price data. The data are published by the Energy Information Administration and are used by both public and private analysts. Respondents include natural gas pipeline companies, distributors, storage operators, processing plant operators, and state agencies.

Short Statement:
The decrease in total burden hours is primarily due to a decrease in the number of respondents on Form EIA-910 from 210 to 100 and is shown as a change in Agency Discretion. The decrease is due to reducing the geographic coverage on Form EIA-910 from 9 states to 3 states. The reporting burden per response for Form EIA-757 Schedule. A increased from .5 hours to .6 hours to adjust for the additional time needed to update contact information and production capacity and is also shown as a change in Agency Discretion. For Forms EIA-176, EIA-191, and EIA-912, the number of annual responses increased because the number of respondents in the reporting frame for those surveys increased and is shown as a change in Agency Estimate. The burden hours increased for Form EIA-757 Schedule B because the number of responses increased so that EIA will be able to respond to an energy emergency in the event of a natural disaster or similar major market disruption. The previous clearance did not provide any burden hours in the event of an emergency activation for this survey.
