This information is collected from insurance companies to provide Treasury a basis to determine acceptability of companies applying for a Certificate of Authority to write or reinsure Federal surety bonds or as an Admitted Reinsurer (not on excess risks to U.S.).

Short Statement:
A reduction of 390 hours is attributed to a program change which allows insurance companies to submit information in electronic format via email. Previously, Insurance companies submitted financial statements on diskettes or CDs along with hard copies of the financial statements.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
The following is a summary of the topics, regarding the proposed collection of information, that the certification covers:
