Abstract:
The Fishermen's Contingency Fund compensates United States (U.S.) commercial fishermen for loss of or damage to their fishing vessels or fishing gear, plus 50% of resulting economic loss, caused by oil and gas industry activities on the U.S. Outer Continental Shelf. In order to be compensated, fishermen must file a report and an application to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
