Short Statement: The change in burden is the result of the additional reporting requirements in section 861 of the NDAA for FY 2016 (Pub. L. 114-92). Section 861 requires mentor firms to report details of the assistance provided and subcontracts awarded to protégé firms, as well as a narrative describing the success this assistance has had in addressing the developmental needs of the protégé firm.
