Short Statement: OSHA is requesting an adjustment increase for the information collection requirements of 86,713 burden hours (from 1,573,813 to 1,660,526). The burden hour increase is related to updated data estimates showing an increase in the number of permit space entrants (from 1,463,075 to 1,471,634) and establishments with permit spaces (from 205,548 to 210,281) affected by the Standard. In response to a comment and after careful review of the economic analysis for this standard, the Agency is adding burden hour costs for atmospheric testing and monitoring; the burden hour increase is also related to this cost. For the same reasons, the Agency is including capital and operation and maintenance costs of $630,900 for atmospheric testing and monitoring equipment.
