Abstract:
The National Historical Publications and Records Commission provides funding to nonprofit organizations and institutions, state and local government agencies, federally acknowledged or state-recognized Native American tribes or groups, and individuals for projects relating to records that further an understanding and appreciation of American history. Information from applicants in the budget and grant offer acknowledgment forms is needed in order for applicants to be eligible for consideration and provide a basis for determining whether a grant should be awarded. Applicants must also acknowledge the offer of the grant and agree to meet requirements of applicable Federal regulations. Additionally, they must verify the existence of an indirect cost agreement with a cognizant Federal agency if they are claiming indirect costs in the project's budget.
