Short Statement: The proposed annual reporting burden for the reports of deposits is estimated to be 129,594 hours, a decrease of 56,074 hours from the current estimate of 185,668 hours. The reduction in estimated burden is due to the proposed increase in the nonexempt deposit cutoff. The Board is proposing to increase the nonexempt deposit cutoff from its annually indexed amount of $457.5 million to $1 billion, which would make an estimated 1,000 depository institutions eligible to shift from weekly to quarterly reporting with panel changes proposed to take effect in September 2018.
