Abstract:
This is a substantive change request. NASS plans to return to collecting data on a quarterly basis. NASS will also expand the sample size in all States to allow for data for all Standard Occupational Codes (SOC) to be published on a regional and quarterly basis, rather than on an annual US basis.

Short Statement:
The majority of the increase in the number of responses and burden hours is due to a change in the sample sizes and frequency of the data collection. The expected increase in funding will allow NASS to resume collecting data on a quarterly basis as well as increase the sample size to provide enough useable data to publish regional estimates rather than just US level estimates for the different SOC codes.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
The following is a summary of the topics, regarding the proposed collection of information, that the certification covers:
