Short Statement: This is an extension of a currently approved collection. Economic conditions over the past few years have caused re-default rates on FHA-insured mortgage loans to practically remain the same, which also caused decreases in loss mitigation cases. This slight increase in market shares, the current environment appears to have stabilized and a decreased participation in FHA’s Loss Mitigation Program occurred.
