Short Statement: Staff review of the time to prepare the R-1 Annual Report determined that the seven Class I railroads that file the report have made significant advances in informational technology and therefore significantly reduced its burden estimate. The Board is evaluating whether it can update the submission process, which may lead to an additional burden decrease in the future.
