Short Statement: Burden reduction was based on a review of data on the AMC National Registry. Original estimate of 500 AMCs was reduced to 350. Currently 51 States have AMC programs in place. Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico do not have AMC programs in place and it is not known at this time whether they will set up AMC Registration programs.
