Short Statement: The burden hours for the NSP-20 have decreased from 1,282 in the NSP-14 to 1,000 hours due reframing of the current sample survey compared to the previous census. Even with reduced burden, compared with prior surveys, the NSP-20 involves the inclusion of additional questions focusing on topics beyond the typical staffing, caseloads, and budgets. These measures were added to more accurately reflect the work of prosecutors.
