Abstract:
This information collection is needed to evaluate and rank applications for the Coast Guard Exchange System Scholarship Program. Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis to the three top ranging applicants who are Coast Guard dependents. Awards are based on academic achievement which is supplied on the application. 14 USC ยง531 authorizes the Commandant of USCG with the authority to collect information.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
The following is a summary of the topics, regarding the proposed collection of information, that the certification covers:
