Short Statement: The VMS installation and maintenance was previously calculated on a 3-year period, rather than a 4-year period which is more accurate. Additionally, the removal of the position reports reduces the response burden by 25,040,000. The Cost burden of the VMS installation was corrected as it was previously double counted, and the costs were adjusted from a 3-year renewal cycle to a 4-year renewal cycle for the equipment. The costs of the position reports (which have been removed from this collection) were migrated to the VMS maintenance line which is the proper line to capture this information.
