Abstract:
Through the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages Business Supplement (QBS), the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) can quickly capture information on the impact of specific events on the U.S. economy. Information collected by the QBS will allow stakeholders and data users to evaluate the impact of these events in a timely manner, allowing policy makers to be able to make informed decisions.

The change in burden is attributable to the fact that this is a new collection. This is the first collection under the BLS QCEW Business Supplement. Each collection will be unique. The sample and scope for each collection will be determined based on topic and the burden assessment will change each time a new survey is fielded.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
