Abstract:
This information collection is related to DFARS part 245 and its associated forms and clauses. DoD needs the information to account for Government property in the possession of contractors. Property administrators, plant clearance officers, contracting officers, and contractors use this information to maintain property records and material inspection, shipping, and receiving reports.

DoD analyzed three years of data, from fiscal year 2018 through fiscal year 2020, rather than just one. Use of this data is expected to provide a more accurate depiction of DoD's collection requirements over time. In addition, DoD increased the number of responses and hours for DFARS 252.245-7003 in response to a public comment.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
