Short Statement: There are no program changes required for items 13 or 14 of the Supporting Statement A. The burden was updated with new wage rates and data. Specifically, TSA moved from burden projections to the use of actual data. In 2018, TSA used projected numbers based on 2015-2017 historical data to estimate the burden, projecting an average for 2018-2020 of 5,090 MSI respondents and 9,844 TPO. In 2021, TSA used actual 2019 numbers to determine the respondents instead of projections, providing 3906 MSI respondents and 4,555 TPO respondents. TSA did not use the data from 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on travel.
