Abstract:
Sec. 911 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 instructs DOE to conduct programs to improve energy efficiency in buildings; and sec. 106 authorizes DOE to enter into voluntary agreements with U.S. industry. Data will be collected annually from program participants on progress made towards the reduction of energy intensity goals established by voluntary agreements. The data collected will be used to evaluate the success of the voluntary agreements and to report results to congress, as required by law. .
