Abstract:
Sections 104 and 4065 of ERISA require plan administrators to file an annual report. The report must contain the information described in section 103 of ERISA. The Form 5500 Series provides a standard format for fulfilling that requirement.

PBGC estimates a decrease of 2,654 hours in the hour burden from 17,743 to 15,089. PBGC estimates that the decrease of hours in the hour burden for the 2023 Forms is due to the higher start-up costs related to the changes that were incorporated into the 2022 Forms.
