This information collection is required to administer and operate this program in accordance with the Child Nutrition Act. The program is administered at the State agency level. Reports submitted and records maintained include agreements, financial reports, and the maintenance of accounting records for State Administrative Funds (SAE). Short Statement:
This is a revision of an information collection that is currently approved with 6,551 burden hours and 3,291 responses. In this revision, FNS revised the FNS-525 form to eliminate data fields from the form for the data that can be obtained from the FNS financial data systems. These revisions reduce the time that it takes to complete this form from 12 hours and 30 minutes to 2 hours and 15 minutes, depending on whether the State Agency is reporting how they have used their reallocated funds or is informing FNS that they are not requesting reallocated funds. This program change reduces the burden hours for this collection by 245 hours per year. The total number of responses for the collection remains unchanged. With this revision, FNS estimates that this collection will have 6,306 burden hours and 3,291 responses.
Annual Cost to Federal Government:
$13,359
