Short Statement: The final amendments to rule 34b-1 under the Investment Company Act of 1940 will increase the total annual hour burden from 46,278 hours to 118,368 hours (an increase of 72,090 hours). There are no annual external costs associated with rule 34b-1. The estimated increase in burden hours will result from the number of hours needed to comply with amended rule 34b-1.
