Abstract:
The Standard on Process Safety Management of Highly Hazardous Chemicals ensures that employers collect the information necessary to control and reduce injuries and fatalities in workplaces that have the potential for highly hazardous chemical catastrophes.

Short Statement:
OSHA is requesting an adjustment decrease of 167,171 hours from 2,492,465 hours to 2,325,294 hours. This adjustment decrease is due to a reduction in the number of new and existing establishments from 9,787 to 9,049 establishments. Also, the number of responses increased from 877,540 to 929,528 because all responses were not accounted for in the last submission of this ICR.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
