Short Statement: There are no program changes. Staff has revised its estimate of burden hours based on estimates of the number of MARS providers subject to the Rule and updated the estimate of hourly wage rates for compliance officers who will perform the work associated with rule compliance based on updated rates published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The annual hours of burden decreased slightly from 360 in 2020 to 354 in 2023. The non-labor costs stayed at $33,000 in 2023. This was the same estimate in 2020. The FTC submission in 2020 incorrectly stated $11,747 as the annual non-labor costs when $11,747 was actually the annual labor costs in 2020. The annual labor costs for 2023 are projected as $12,195.
