Abstract:
This is a request for the renewal of this information collection for an additional three years. In addition to the national Catfish and Trout Production Surveys, NASS is requesting approval to conduct two state-specific aquaculture surveys to be conducted under reimbursable agreements in Hawaii and Pennsylvania. NOTE: NASS conducts the Census of Aquaculture (OMB Control Number 0535-0237) approximately every five years. The Census of Aquaculture will be conducted in January 2024, referencing 2023 production year. The annual Trout and Catfish surveys that normally would be conducted in January 2024 will not be conducted, since they would have duplicated the Census of Aquaculture that will be conducted in January 2024. The requested burden reflects this.

The annual Trout and Catfish surveys that normally would be conducted in January 2024 will not be conducted since data for those surveys are collected in the Census of Aquaculture (OMB Control Number 0535-0237). Average annual burden reflects this and results in a decrease in requested burden.
