Abstract:
NOAA’s National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science (NCCOS) is proposing a non-substantive change to the survey instrument approved under OMB Control Number 0648-0744. These non-substantive changes will not change the content or anything else associated with this survey. The project team held focus groups the week of April 17 to determine 1) the survey response process; 2) whether the questions are easy to understand; 3) whether questions and responses are relevant and comprehensive; 4) whether the terminology is locally relevant and accurate; and 5) if enough information is provided for individuals to confidently respond. Based on the results of these focus groups, non-substantive changes are requested to simplify the questions and improve clarity.
