Short Statement: On June 5, 2020, ONRR published in the Federal Register a 60-day notice for this Information Collection Request (ICR) [85 FR 34648]. On October 15, 2020, ONRR republished the 60-day notice [85 FR 65395] to add an information collection to this ICR with the intent to collect information needed under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (PRA, 44 U.S.C 3501 et seq.) to process refund requests under 30 U.S.C. 1721a(b). The new information collection under this ICR (Processing Refund Requests Related to Overpayments Made to ONRR) includes 34 burden hours. However, the overall burden hours for this ICR decreased 58 hours from the currently OMB-approved of 151 hours. The estimated total burden hours for this renewal cycle is 93.
