FSA requires foreign persons to report acquired or transferred U.S. agricultural land under the AFIDA. The collection of the information is utilized in the preparation of reports to Congress and monitor investment.

The number of respondents and responses increased by 2,250, and the burden hours increased by 1,063. The increase is because more foreign persons acquired or transferred an interest in U.S. agricultural land than in prior years and must comply with AFIDA reporting requirements.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
