Short Statement:
This request for renewal is for 3,429 estimated annual responses and 1,814 estimated annual burden hours, reflecting a decrease of 278 responses and 104 burden hours from the previous renewal request. The number of respondents decreased from 973 to 936. The activity Recordkeeping by Processing Establishments respondent type has been corrected in this renewal. Respondent type is Business, not Foreign Government, as indicated on the last supporting statement. The APHIS 71 workbook captured it correctly in the last renewal. Discretionary/program changes to the Agency are the result of the discontinuation of the following activities because the information is captured in information collection OMB Control No. 0579-0040: • Notarized Declaration, decreasing estimated total responses by 139 and the estimated total burden hours by 70. • Agreement of Pet Bird Owner (VS Form 17-8), decreasing estimated total responses by 139 and the estimated total burden hours by 70.
