Short Statement:
Changes are being made to the form and instructions to update the tax year field to be a 4-digit field per industry request and to reduce the number of pages for the filer copies. This will have a nominal effect on burden time per response. Updates to the estimated number of annual responses for Form 1099-NEC will increase the overall burden estimate by 16,353,674 hours to Agency Estimate.
