Short Statement: The number of active air carriers operating under part 121 has increased from the previous submission from 66 in 2021 to a current number of 90. This is the primary driver of the overall increase in estimated responses. The estimate for the number of aircraft operated by air carriers under part 121 has increased from the previous submission. The increased numbers of aircraft may reflect an increase in the fleet size of air carriers or the increased use of smaller regional jets. The number of pilots in command of active air carriers operating under part 121 has increased from the previous submission. The number of other pilots of active air carriers operating under part 121 has increased from the previous submission. The number of flight attendants of active air carriers operating under part 121 has increased from the previous submission. The hour and cost estimates have all been updated to reflect 2024 wages and statistics.
