Abstract:
The Family Voice and Leadership study aims to explore the extent to which and how family voice and leadership (FVL)—which involves including families in decisions related to program implementation—is currently happening in the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Program. This will be done through 1) a brief survey of MIECHV awardees and local program staff on FVL practices and strategies, with follow up interview and focus groups with select staff; and 2) a focus group with families who have participated in FVL strategies. Results will inform strategies for MIECHV-funded home visiting programs to effectively engage families in program decisions.
