Short Statement:
This 2024 iteration is associated with the changes in our May 10, 2024 (89 FR 41002) final rule (CMS-2439-F; RIN 0938-AU99). The rule: (1) revises the EQR activities by removing the requirement for PCCM entities to conduct EQR, (2) adds a new optional activity to support states in conducting quality-related evaluations, and (3) makes several technical changes to the way EQR results are reported. The final rule will also require states to maintain a 5-year archive of EQR reports on their websites and that states notify CMS via email or other electronic correspondence when they have posted their EQR reports to their websites, and to share a link. For the public sector, our time estimate increased by 19,372 hours and our cost estimate increased by $2,878,913. For the private sector, our time estimate increased by 14,880 hours and our cost estimate increased by $1,107,662. Overall, our active burden estimates have increased by 34,252 hours and $3,986,533.
Annual Cost to Federal Government:
$24,564,276
