Short Statement: The Department is updating its implementing regulation for Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, in part to more closely align with the implementing regulations for the Americans with Disabilities Act. This includes updating the notice requirement at 45 CFR 84.8. This updated notice requirement will now require recipients to update their notice of nondiscrimination while giving them more flexibility in the form of their notice of nondiscrimination.
