Short Statement: The estimated total annual burden hours increased from 66 hours to 88 hours since the last OMB control number renewal in calendar year 2020. The estimated burden to submit a request for an administrative ruling to FinCEN remained at two hours per entity. The increase in burden is a result of an increase in the average number of administrative ruling requests submitted from 33 requests in between 2018 and 2020 to 44 requests in between 2020 and 2022.
