Abstract:
IMLS is requesting the approval of the Notice of Funding Opportunities instructions for these grant programs. The goals of Museum Grants for African American History and Culture (AAHC) are to support projects that improve the operations, care of collections, and development of professional management at African American museums. The goal of Native American/Native Hawaiian Museum Services (NANH) grants is to support Indian tribes and organizations that primarily serve and represent Native Hawaiians. They are intended to provide opportunities to sustain heritage, culture, and knowledge through strengthened activities in areas such as exhibitions, educational services and programming, professional development, and collections stewardship. This action is to renew the forms and instructions for the Notice of Funding Opportunities for the next three years. In this clearance submission (3137-0095), IMLS requests a renewal clearance for the 2025-2027 IMLS Museum Grants for African American History and Culture (AAHC) and the Native American/Native Hawaiian Museum Services (NANH) Grant Program under the Paperwork Reduction Act. The information collection in this package consists of two Notices of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) with instructions necessary to apply for IMLS support as part of the agency’s grant programs.
