Abstract:
This is a request for a new generic clearance to cover information collection requirements (ICRs) in funding opportunity announcements (FOAs) extending beyond what is collected on currently approved standard forms and other approved forms. The Department of Commerce agencies manage funding programs that vary in purpose, target population, and activities. OMB approval of this umbrella generic ICR will assist Commerce in timely carrying out its responsibilities under the Paperwork Reduction Act by accurately accounting for the public burden and reporting associated with FOA applications and related forms.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
The following is a summary of the topics, regarding the proposed collection of information, that the certification covers:
